Is Your Child
Future-Ready?

Research shows that the following skills in children predict their future success:

  • Social-Emotional Skills

  • Intellectual Curiosity

  • Resilience

At Learning Pals Student Care, we are passionate about developing students who are future-ready. We intentionally create opportunities for students to develop these life skills while keeping it fun and organic!

Research Shows

A 20-year longitudinal study (Jones, Greenberg & Crowley, 2015) found that children who demonstrated stronger social-emotional competence in kindergarten were more likely to complete higher education and gain well-paying jobs in adulthood. Conversely, children who demonstrated weaker social-emotional skills were more likely to drop out of high school, take part in substance abuse and require government aid. Research also showed that intellectual curiosity and effort can rival the effects of intelligence to influence academic achievement (Stumm, Hell & Chamorro-Premuzic, 2011).

Happy Children
Social-Emotional Skills

Our trained teachers support students in social interactions throughout the day. Community Time and the Social-Emotional Skills (S.E.S.) programme also serve to develop personal and social awareness, self-regulation, decision-making skills and relationship skills.

Drawing Time
Intellectual Curiosity

Children are creative geniuses!  Our Social Makers programme offers students the freedom to come up with their own creation at our Maker Space. STEM planning sheets are used to help students plan their design and explore new possibilities. Our social twist? They have to access the Maker Space with a friend!

Kids Playing Tug of War
Resilience

We adopt Growth Mindset in everything we do. Mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities and children are encouraged to problem-solve when they meet obstacles. As part of the Social Makers programme, new STEM challenges are offered each week to develop curiosity and resilience.
